Tiger baseball misses out on State

It was one of those series the Tigers just could not seem to get all phases working in the same game. The result would be 11-1 and 2-1 losses to Rouse to knock them out at the regional finals and a chance to make the state tourney. The first game saw the Tiger pitchers fail to find the plate and in the second they could not find their bats.

More awards for soccer players

The Austin American-Statesman named their All-Centex team selections in soccer for boys and girls. Dripping Springs earned their share again. These selections are even more special because they are gleaned from allclassifications in the Central Texas area, which includes a high quality of athletes.

Tigers move on to regional finals for first time since 1998

Almost daily one hears a common remark when athletes/coaches are interviewed, usually after a loss. “We will have to learn from this and move on.” Well, the Dripping Springs Tigers get to say the same thing but on the other side of the coin. They have been in so many close games over the season that turned out to be victories, they have learned to take everything in stride, knowing everything will end up okay in the end. As Yogi Berra was one to say “It ain't over 'til it's over.”
