No deal: City rejects DSISD’s proposed agreement in Town Center land purchase

In an April 28 Special Meeting, the City of Dripping Springs City Council unanimously voted to reject the Dripping Springs Independent School District Board of Trustees’ Real Property Sales Agreement due to use restrictions by the District. The agreement is over the sale of district-owned property, where the current administration building is located at 510 Mercer St., for use in developing the Town Center Project. The Board unanimously voted to approve the latest agreement during their regular meeting on April 26. It comes after several previous agreements failed.

Dripping Springs graduating Girls Scouts awarded college scholarships

Dripping Springs/ Wimberley Girl Scouts in partnership with Dripping Springs Community Foundation has announced two graduating girls, Zoey Gordon and Cadence Housmans, have won 2021 Girl Scout Scholarships. Girls are selected based on leadership, service to community, and personal character. These girls represent that which is excellent in our youth, anticipating from these girls great works and achievements ahead.

Six DSHS juniors to attend Texas Bluebonnet Girls State on scholarship

The Vince F. Taylor American Legion Post 290 is sponsoring the admission for six Dripping Springs High School juniors to attend Texas Bluebonnet Girls State. Attendees are nominated, sponsored, and registered through their local American Legion Auxiliary unit or high school.
