The Dripping Springs Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously voted to approve the hire of Dr. Holly Morris-Kuentz as superintendent at the May 5 special meeting. During a special meeting on April 13, she was announced as the district's lone finalist in the search for a new superintendent.
Last week, the community showered teachers with love during Teacher Appreciation Week. The Dripping Springs Real Estate Professionals partnered with the Dripping Springs ISD Education Foundation to show employees across the district how much they are loved.
Last week the Century News ran an article on election results for the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees election and incorrectly stated the number of ballots cast was 11,700. This was the total number of votes, and the number of ballots cast was 4,085. We apologize for the error.
The Dripping Springs Community Foundation and the Helping Hands Food Pantry dedicated a storage facility to the memory of Judy Carter of Dripping Springs, a DSCF Board member and longtime activist in the community. The ceremony took place on April 22.
As Dripping Springs’ population grows, so does its dining scene. Get Along Grill, one of the area’s newest restaurants, held its ribbon cutting ceremony May 4 with the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce.
