When North Hays County Fire Rescue (NHCFR) arrived to the scene of a house fire on Bell Springs Road, the evening of November 5th, they found a home that was fully involved. It was a total loss. “The occupants are safe and there were no injuries to firefighters,” NHCFR Chief Scott Collard said. “The cause is under investigation by the Hays County Fire Marshal.”
Government officials and those who work in the spirits industry from across the state gathered in Dripping Springs for the Texas Lyceum’s November conference last week. Attendees explored a hot topic for the year of 2020 – alcohol. Held at Camp Lucy, the “Raising the Bar on Texas Spirits” conference took attendees on a journey through the history, current challenges and changes, and future of Texas-produced alcohol, with insight from government officials as well as manufacturers, distributors and retailers from across the state.
The City of Dripping Springs will file an appeal to the recent ruling by a Texas district court that reversed the city’s wastewater discharge permit.
