City to appeal wastewater discharge permit ruling

The City of Dripping Springs will file an appeal to the recent ruling by a Texas district court that reversed the city’s wastewater discharge permit.

On November 3, city council held a special meeting to discuss and consider action regarding the ruling. The council discussed the matter in executive session, but upon returning to regular session, took action. Mayor Pro-Tem Taline Manassian made the motion to authorize staff and legal council to file the appeal. Council Member April Harris Allison seconded and the motion was passed unanimously. “We will be getting back to council next week, with where we are on the status of this,” Mayor Bill Foulds, Jr. said.
