This year on Veterans Day, the Dripping Springs Rotary Club, despite COVID-19, found a way to honor our veterans safely. A drive-by booth was set up on Mercer Street that allowed veterans to either drive by and pick up a goodie bag or park and chat with each other for a while.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the City of Dripping Springs have filed an appeal to the Third Court of Appeals regarding the Texas District Court’s decision to reverse the Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (“TPDES”) wastewater treatment permit. The TPDES permit was issued by TCEQ to allow the City to begin the much-needed expansion of its treatment plant and address the area’s growing wastewater needs. However, in late October, Judge Maya Guerra Gamble of the 459th Texas District Court reversed that permit.
