One campsite at a time..

If you had a crystal ball and you would have told me that my family would buy an RV in 2020, I’d call you crazy. But alas, in the year where it seems anything goes, we have an RV. Maybe we’ll regret it later. Who knows? For now, however, it seems like it’s just what we needed. We’re able to escape for a bit, have a change of scenery, while keeping our two little ones safe. We have food and a restroom in tow, so we don’t have to stop anywhere with them.

New columns to feature wildfire awareness, camping outdoors

This week, you’ll see two new columns. The first is called “All it Takes is One Spark,” because as we all know, that is truly what it takes for a wildfire to occur in Dripping Springs, or anywhere for that matter. This will be a limited series to share information about wildfire awareness and prevention. DSCN is proud to partner with our local fire department (North Hays County Fire Rescue), the City’s Emergency Management Commission and the Texas A&M Forest Service to produce this series. Expect a total of three articles that will run every other week starting with this issue.
