Hays County Master Gardeners Annual Plant Sale set for October 11

The Hays County Master Gardeners are pleased to announce the annual Plant and Tree Sale on Sunday October 11, 2020 from 10AM to 2PM at Buda Farmers Market and Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 3PM to 6PM at Drippings Springs Farmers Market. This year we will feature native and adapted perennials, herbs and of course Texas Superstar plants that will actually thrive here in our hot Texas weather, unlike many of the plants you will find at the big-box stores.

DSHS Musical Theatre production wins 3 awards

Of the 12 nominations received by the Dripping Springs High School production of "Anything Goes," DSHS won three Heller Awards for Young Artists (formerly known as Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Awards). Katie Haberman was selected as Best Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Reno Sweeney, and DSHS was recognized for Best Lighting Design and Best Direction.

DSEF Awards student leadership grants

Dripping Springs Education Foundation recently awarded three Student Leadership Grants to outstanding projects that are designed to foster the development of students' leadership skills through their efforts to serve their school, community, or others in the world around them. These students, together with their faculty sponsors, applied for the grants during the spring semester. Student Leadership Grant award recipients for Spring 2020 were:
