Dripping Gardening

The last few years, Vermillionaire Cuphea has become a must have plant for several parts of my landscape. I have actually had hummingbirds hitting on them in my driveway as I got them out of the car. Even though it is now late July it is a must have plant for all Central Texas Gardeners.

Local acupuncturist receives grant

Dr. Michelle Wendt, a Dripping Springs healthcare provider and the owner of Indigo Healing Acupuncture was recently awarded a $5,000 COVID-19 relief and recovery grant. GlobalGiving, a non profit organization that supports other nonprofits, donors, and companies across the world selected the local business to be a Red Backpack Fund recipient. The Red Backpack Fund is an opportunity for small businesses and nonprofits tied to The Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation.

Library offers virtual programs

The Dripping Springs Community Library continues to offer virtual programs to the community on a variety of topics. Some of this month’s offerings include photography, monarch butterflies and “the Writer’s Block, a group that meets regularly,” Marcia Atilano said, Library Director.
