Library offers virtual programs

The Dripping Springs Community Library continues to offer virtual programs to the community on a variety of topics. Some of this month’s offerings include photography, monarch butterflies and “the Writer’s Block, a group that meets regularly,” Marcia Atilano said, Library Director.

Folks interested in photography can take a photo composition class led by Warren Capps from PODs (Photographers of Dripping Springs). The class will occur Friday, July 17, from 1:00—3:00 PM.

On Friday July 24, from 12 to 1 p.m., aspiring and published authors can join the Writer’s Block program for help with plot lines, character development, etc.

Butterfly enthusiasts, nature lovers and gardeners will appreciate the “Nurturing the Monarch Butterfly” program. The presentation, set for July 30 at 3 p.m., aims to inspire attendees to adopt gardening strategies that support the national goal of increasing the declining monarch butterfly population.

“Registration is required for all of these programs,” Atilano said. “ If you have questions about how to register or participate online, please contact us! Life-long learning continues!”
