The Home Tour is back! The 33rd Annual Hill Country Home Tour is April 16 & 17 with four outstanding homes. Featured this year are Ken & Yvette Stranges’ Spoon Mountain Glamping property that showboats South African safari tents with all the luxuries. Intended as commercial vacation rentals, the three tents are sited beneath a grove of oaks and back up to Spoon Mountain. Interiors reflect safari themes.
A Texas Senate committee on Friday passed an elections bill that would tighten the state’s voting rules by limiting extended early voting hours, requiring proof of disability to qualify for mail-in voting and prohibiting drivethru voting. Senate Bill 7, sponsored by Sen. Bryan Hughes, R-Mineola, is one of Gov. Gregg Abbott’s legislative priorities this session.
