Shelf Talk: Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month. It is a time to celebrate the rich and diverse cultures, traditions and contributions of Native people. According to the National Congress of American Indians, Native American Heritage Month is “also an opportune time to educate the general public about tribes, to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.” In light of Native American Heritage Month, the Dripping Springs Community Library offers the following book list for children and adults.

Nice to Meet Ya: Connor Robinson

Growing up in South Austin, Dripping Springs was well known by Connor Robinson, the Director of Hill Country Nursing and Rehab. “Dripping Springs was always cool. I was raised at Circle C; only twenty minutes away…I’m a South Austin boy. We moved from New Orleans when I was six… After that it was all southwest Austin.”

Ascension Seton opens new health center in Dripping Springs

Ascension Seton, last Thursday, announced the grand opening of Ascension Seton Dripping Springs Health Center, a primary care clinic offering comprehensive care for the whole family, close to home. Brian Jameson, M.D., and Catherine Edwards, P.A.-C., will provide care at Ascension Seton Dripping Springs Health Center, on Sportsplex Drive.
