There is an excitement in the air about Christmas this year and it appears to be as contagious as... you know. Right now, it doesn’t seem to be about presents or shopping, though that will probably come. It seems to have a focus on tradition, on family, on a return to what is important. The beauty of the season seems to have achieved a status that has been unprecedented for a while. In 2020, decorating indoors has become the socalled ‘frosting on the cake.’

COVID pandemic reveals how we really feel

When COVID-19 first reared its ugly head and the first lockdown was mandated, many — myself included — were already planning to use our confinement to “catch up.” I’d clean out the hall closet, read those books gathering dust on my desk, write thank-you notes from the last birthday and plant the vegetable and herb garden I’d been talking about for months.

It’s hard to imagine Dripping Springs without the Dripping Springs Ranch Park (DSRP). Yes, there was a time, back before 2008 when it was just a field. Now, it is a host to many events, even in this pandemic. In the past, some of the events include rodeos, trade shows, exhibitions, dog agility trials, exotic animal pet exhibitions, and the list goes on.
