Back in the 1930s, if families didn’t all live on the same parcel of land or on the same block, those from out-of-town would visit for several weeks at a time. My great-grandmother spent two months with each of her six children (5 sons and one daughter). She sold her home and began her round-robin visits when she was in her 40s and continued spending her two-month vacations to Florida, Denver, Wichita Falls, Chicago, Charlotte and Dallas until she became too frail to travel.

The Dripping Springs Community Foundation (DSCF), along with Dripping Springs, has grown substantially since 1999. DSCF is a foundation, but different in a way as they help donors and recipients in the most beneficial ways to both parties, tax-wise.
At the Jan. 25 meeting, the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees approved two key administrative positions at the elementary level: Kristen Ray as the DSISD Director of Elementary Education and Kellie Raymond as principal of Cypress Springs Elementary, DSISD's fifth elementary school.
