Sycamore Springs Middle School (SSMS) has been officially designated as a “Texas School to Watch” in a national recognition program of the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform and the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. SSMS joins approximately 50 other campuses across Texas with this distinction and honor.
The Dripping Springs Wild Game Dinner is one of the oldest and largest fundraising events in the region. Proceeds benefit charities in Dripping Springs and Hays County.
Vision 2025, as I will continue to share, is the region’s ambitious economic development strategic plan, developed by community stakeholders from across Hays and Caldwell Counties for our communities across the two counties. As we move into the next phase of the strategy – implementation – community leadership and participation will continue to be paramount to its success.
Dripping Springs has grown by leaps and bounds, to say the least. The everchanging face of what Dripping Springs develops in just the blink of an eye. Even with the pandemic, new businesses and people are still moving in.
Hays County Transportation paving crews are nearing completion of the section of repairs on Sawyer Ranch Rd. and will be moving to Belterra. The planned start date for the new work is Feb. 16.
