Track teams fall short at District

Dripping Springs found a district in 26-5A that has schools with strong interests in track as well. The Boerne Champion Chargers proved to have loaded guns this year and ended up being no match for anyone else by taking all four divisions. Dripping Springs also had a talented group but could not pull off enough top places and finished second in three of the four divisions.

Next up for the track program will be the Area meet. The top four finishers in each event for District 26-5A will compete against the top four from District 25-5A, which includes Cedar Park, Georgetown, Georgetown East View, etc. The Area meet will be at the East View track on Wednesday, April 14. The quality in these two districts should provide a small state meet atmosphere. The top four finishers in the Area qualify for the Regional meet on April 23 and 24.
