Tigers top century mark

During the Christmas Hays High tournament, the Dripping Springs High School Tigers pulled off a feat that is very rare in the history of Tiger basketball: a 100-point game.

In fact, it was only the third time ever and the second time in regulation. The first occurred on Feb. 6, 1959 with a 105-64 win over Buda High School. The second happened on Jan. 9, 1996 in a 120-111 double overtime win over Austin’s Lanier High School.

The run and gun offense being used by Coach Craig Swannack is designed to enhance points on the board. The game with Corpus Christi’s Carroll High School did just that as the Tigers took the game 102-71. It was definitely an up and down tourney with the Tigers splitting the four games evenly between wins and losses. They defeated Cedar Park High School 67-45 and lost games to Belton High School 61-64 and Clements High School 47-66.

Vs. Carroll: Luke Spozio 14, Jaxon Reagan 14, Cade Brunson 14, Judson Loe 13, Davis Budge 12, Maddox Bloomgren 6, Josh Oliphant 6, Austin Moore 5, Zach Fleming 5, Dakin Drewitz 4, Benjamin Beatty 3, Dylan Ducharme 2, Kooper Brown 2, Jack Williams 2.
