Tigers host Hill Country Classic and tally four wins

The Tigers baseball team opened their season by hosting the Hill Country Classic and came away with a 4-1 record. The only glitch in the tourney for the Tigers was their opener with Hays. Plenty of runs for everyone but Hays held the edge at 10-8. Each team collected seven hits.

Vista Ridge provided the Tigers with their first win of the season as they parlayed their six hits into a 5-1 victory. New Braunfels provided very little opposition as the Tigers upped the ante with 12 hits for a 14-1 win. It was a much better game against Elgin. In the end DS was victorious with a 3-0 shutout. The fifth and final game was a nailbiter with Vandegrift. Max Miles would bring in Brennan Frickel with a single in the first inning. Probably no one expected that to be the last but it was as the Tigers hung onto the 1-0 victory.
