Tiger State Track Meet results

The track season for the Dripping Springs program came to an end when the seven runners competed at the state track meet in Austin. It did not result in any medals this year but that did not diminish the year they enjoyed and the accomplishment of making it to state. Few get to put that on their resume.

Avery Kalsu, a junior, gets another chance to improve on her fourth place finish in the 400 dash. Her time of 56.46 did lower her school record time. Marleena Mickel is another one that will have more chances. Only a freshman, she placed eighth in the 3200 with a time of 11.24.79. This was not close to the school record she already holds but no doubt she should continue to lower before graduating.

Bobby Holt completed his career with a sixth place finish in the 800. His time was 1.55.33. The 1600 relay team placed ninth. Their 3.20.93 was just tenths off the school record they had set earlier in the year. Members of the team were Tyler Herron, Andre Perry, Zyle Nance and Ty Kaatz.
