The Dripping Springs golf teams continue to show their strength with their results in the regional tournament. The boys and girls went to McAllen to play the Palm View golf course. The Tigers were able to qualify for their second straight trip to state with a second place finish. This will be the fourth trip to state for the Tigers program. The other two occurred in 1986 and 1988. The Lady Tigers would just miss out for the second year in a row with a fourth place finish.

Jake Sitterle, the only returning member of last year's team, showed his leadership to seal the deal. His 73-70=143 total was good for a third place medalist finish. Others on the team were: Sam Sewell 75-76=151; Tanner Wardlaw 82-81=163; Jake Sewell 84-92=176; Luke Ezzell 91-87=178. Team: 314-314=628.

Paige Miller had the best effort for the Lady Tigers with an 83-84=167 performance good for seventeenth place. Others on the team were: Lindsey Teague 88-87=175; Samantha Mietke 91-86=177; Katherine Montgomery 93-87=180; Ava Cole 112-97=209. Team: 355-344=699.

The Tigers will be playing the White Wing golf course in Georgetown at the state tourney on May 13,14.
