Soccer prospering

The soccer program continues to thrive with neither team losing a game in district play and the girls undefeated for the season and have hung on to the #1 state ranking. Only two more weeks remain before the playoffs take over.

The Tigers shutout Hays Johnson 6-0, got past NB Canyon 3-1 and doubled Boerne Champion 4-2.

Vs HJ: G/A: Javier Ortega/Ricky Alvarez; Adam Knutson/Ortega; York Merrill/Alvarez; Brendan Gajewski/ Diego Zamudio; Lukas Buchberger/ Javier Gonzales; Ortega.

Vs NBC: Knutson/ Ortega; Mason Russell/ Gajewski; Gajewski/ Knutson.

Vs BC: Russell/Merrill; Merrill/Joey Svoboda; Alvarez/Russell; Ortega.

The JV team got in a couple of games. They tied Johnson 1-1 with Ramsey Zobaid scoring. Canyon fell 2-0 with Brayden McDaniel and Luis Sanchez scoring.

The Lady Tigers had two shutouts and a scare. Hays fell 6-0 and Canyon 4-0. Boerne Champion held a 1-0 lead through the half before Taliyah Spain and Ellie Hodsden came through with goals in the second half, assisted by E. Hodsden and Riley Sisson.

E. Hodsden (2), Eden Tomhave, Spain, Sissom and Hayley Bodman provided the goals against Johnson with Taylor Hodsden and Ella Ruff getting assists. E. Hodsden took care of the scoring with Canyon and Alex Knutson got an assist.
