Nine athletes from DSHS make basketball all-district selections

The basketball seasons have come to a close for the Dripping Springs teams. Now it is on to the honors earned by the players. Below you will find the All-District teams selected for the boys and girls.

The Tigers had five players selected. Jayden Guevara and Aidan Bailey, both seniors, earned first team status. Guevara scored 377 points (18.85). 43 assists, 12 steals, 99 rebounds. His free throw pct. .867 (91-105) set a school record. Bailey scored 295 (12.83) with 71 assists, 32 steals and 124 rebounds.

Jackson Friedman and Luke Lawyer, both seniors, were named to the second team. Friedman scored 86 points and grabbed 75 rebounds. Lawyer added 34 points and 45 rebounds. Felix Gonzales received honorable mention.

The Lady Tigers had four players earn honors. Corbyn Davis and Ally Beck, both seniors, gained first team status. Davis scored 202 points, had 59 assists, 49 steals and 54 rebounds. Beck scored 187 points, 24 assists, 38 steals and 64 rebounds.

Second team recognition went to Caroline Gamble, Sr. and Ella Smith, Jr. Gamble scored 152 points, 14 assists, 19 steals and 50 rebounds. Smith scored 80, had 13 assists, 13 steals and 92 rebounds.
