Lady Tigers volleyball finish as district runner-ups

The Dripping Springs volleyball team saw their hopes for a tri-championship fade away in the final game of district play.

Unfortunately, Lake Travis High School got back up, though licking their wounds from the beatdown given to them by the Lady Tigers. They avoided an upset by Westlake High School to win their fourth straight district title. That left the Lady Tigers with the number two seed in district, which means they will be playing the number three seed from District 25-6A. The Lady Tigers played Vandegrift last Tuesday night, Oct. 25, at Burger Center in the bi-district game.

All the Lady Tigers need is to just get into the playoffs and they are usually off and running. This year will be no different. You can bet getting to state will have to go through Dripping Springs.

In their final game of district play, Dripping Springs played Bowie High School and topped them 3-1. This gave them a 36-12 season record and 14-2 district record.
