Lady Tigers cross country results

It was District 26-5A all over again as the Region IV Cross Country meet was held in Corpus Christi. It goes to show how strong the district is statewide. When the dust had cleared from the girls division the results were identical to district results and may well look the same at the state meet to be held at the Old Settlers Course in Round Rock on November 5. Two-time state champion, Boerne Champion (52) was first followed by the Lady Tigers (71) and New Braunfels Canyon (131). Sharyland 132 and Georgetown (164) rounded out the top five teams.

Karsten Bobb was the top finisher for the Lady Tigers among the 182 competitors at sixth with a time of 19.10.27. The others to follow were: 10. Chandler Latham 19.29.70; 11. Kate Ginther 19.33.19; 19. Marleena Mickel 20.04.69; 37. Alexa Velasco 20.55.78; 52. Jesse Bookbinder 21.28.89; 59. Madison Johnson 21.44.18.

The two Tigers that qualified for the regional meet were among the 184 runners competing. Brant Melton placed 31stwith a time of 17.30.90. Austin Wolfe came in 55thwith a time of 17.52.98.
