Golf season underway

All of the golf teams in the program have been able to play at least several rounds to begin the new season. The varsity boys played in the Lake Travis and Vandegrift tourneys. The Lake Travis tourney was a 54-hole tourney with the first round played on the Roy Kizer course and the other two at the Jimmy Clay course. The varsity girls entered the Hays tourney played at the Plum Creek course. It was an 18-hole tourney. The JV boys played in two 18-hole tourneys. They played in the Westlake tourney played at Lions Municipal and the Hays tourney at Plum Creek.

Girls at Hays: Paris Shirley 86; Bethany Harkrider 89; Daryl Dean 105; Gabrielle Ortiz 109; Ashley Murphy 107. Team total 387.

JVB at Westlake: Jacob Gonzales 82; Makai Guzman 84; Jackson Browning 96; Carson Schroeder 96. Team total: 358.

JVB at Hays: Gonzales 75; Guzman 81; Nick Kort 88; Browning 100; Schroeder 92. Team total: 336.
