In most seeded tourneys, the weaker teams fall on the first day and then elimination becomes more difficult.

The Tuesday night men's softball league completed its summer season with an End of the Season tourney. It was a one-pitch, double-elimination event. The tourney, like the regular season, was filled with a lot of tight games, especially when it got down to the final night of play. In most seeded tourneys, the weaker teams fall on the first day and then elimination becomes more difficult. Those that fall into the elimination bracket early have to play a lot of games to get to the finals. This was the lot that fell to the Slapnut Magoos when they were upset by UnWanted and forced to fight their way back. When all the games had been played out, the Fighting Pharmers would be on top of the heap, with the Magoos second. League champion, Sunset Canyon Baptist placed third, followed by the DS Rentals Conglomerates.

Monday scores: Pharmers over Chronic Offenders 18-0. Sunset Canyon over Misfits 13-2. Shockers edged Conglomerates 7-4. UnWanted topped Magoos 11-4. Conglomerates outscored Misfits 27-8. Magoos over Offenders 16-1. Pharmers eked by UnWanted 8-7. Sunset Canyon ran past Shockers 23-2.

This one went two extra innings before the Magoos would outscore SCB 4-3 to put themselves in the finals with the Pharmers 15-14. This meant the Magoos would have to defeat the Pharmers twice for the championship. The Pharmers took a 10-2 edge into the final inning. The Magoos gave it another comeback shot but did not have enough gas in the tank as they fell 10-7.
