DSHS Track and Field athletes qualify for Regional Meet

Thirteen members of the Dripping Springs High School track and field teams qualified for the Conference 5A Region IV meet after finishing in the top four of their respective events at the area meet on April 14 at East View High School in Georgetown.

Competing against schools in Districts 25 and 26, the boys’ team tied for second place with Cedar Park High School with 72 points. Boerne Champion High School won the meet with 139 points. The girls’ squad finished fourth in the 16- team field with 50 points. Cedar Park totaled 134 points to finish first.

Girls top five teams: Cedar Park 134, Boerne Champion 100, Georgetown 94, DS 50, Leander Glenn 46.

The regional meet will be held April 23-24 at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio.
