Chase Warden becomes State Champion Wrestler
Dripping Springs entered a good contingent of wrestlers at the state meet and came away with a state champion and an 8thplace team standing. Chase Warden, a sophomore, took his undefeated record and extended it four more matches to become the 5A state champion in the 145 class. He won on falls .32, .46, 1.30 and 1.48. In addition, Warden was voted the 5A Boys Most Outstanding Wrestler by the coaches. The other Tiger wrestler with a distinguished career, Clayton Jetton, concluded with a 5thfinish in the 195 division. This is his third trip to state and he finished 6thand 3rdin the other two. He leaves with several school records.

Catalina Miller became the first Lady Tiger to qualify for state. She competed in the 119 division and lost fall 3.36 and fall 3.33.
