Adult softball league results

Adult Softball Results

The Thursday night men's adult softball league concluded their regular season. No changes in league standings took place. The summer season will conclude with the End of the Season Tourney this week. The preliminaries in the doubleelimination format were played last Tuesday night and the finals are being played tonight.

The six teams will be playing for the right to put their name on the J Hudson Memorial Traveling Trophy. J Hudson was a young man who was a charter member of the league formed in 1975. He had a team called The Excavators and played until he lost his life in an automobile accident in 1982. The league honored his enthusiasm for the game by naming the end of season tourney for him and giving a traveling trophy to the winner. The winning team gets their name engraved on the trophy and the right to keep it for a year. This routine has taken place each year since 1982.
