Adult softball league results
The Tuesday night adult softball league has completed its summer season amid some very close races. The number of teams that usually enter was seriously affected by the threat of the virus and rightly so. Only four teams ended up playing the season but it certainly did not affect how competitive the league ended up being. Most games were hotly contested with bigtime plays. And like most summer leagues, teams had to deal with missing players along the way and generally the teams that could expect most of their players to show up each night had better success. In addition, the batting title literally came down to the players final at bat.
The Thursday league is coasting on a glide path to the finish as only one team has a mathematical chance at overtaking the Dripping Royalty for the title. The rest can only hope to re-energize for the end of season tournament.
