Prakash Jadeja

Prakash Jadeja (Jad), aged 66, passed away unexpectedly at home in Dripping Springs on January 21st, 2021.

Born in January 1955 to late Jivansinhji Harisinhji Jadeja and late Jivtiba Jivansinhji Jadeja.

Husband to Ruth Jadeja, father to Devi and Mahesh Jadeja. Brother of late Pravinsinh, late Vijaysinh, late Pradipsinh, Pankajsinh Jadeja, Chandraba Dadbha Jethwa, and Vidulaba Dilipsinh Parmar.

Jad was a gentle, joyful and loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed cooking, watching westerns, partaking in Harry Potter movie marathons, eating spicy foods, and sitting on the back porch smoking the occasional cigar. Born in Kenya, at the age of ten Jad moved to the United Kingdom, where he met his wife, Ruth Jadeja, his life partner and best friend for over thirty-eight years. Jad worked and traveled all over the world, having taken two startup companies public, eventually settling down in Dripping Springs, where he taught Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, and Programming at Dripping Springs High School for over a decade.

A well-loved teacher and mentor, Jad was passionate about preparing his students for the real world of engineering and higher academia, and never stopped researching new projects and ideas. Jad even established the first high school FabLab in the country at Dripping Springs High School.

Jad was always ready to help out in the community. Most recently, he spent the summer printing face shields for our medical workers and first responders. He also volunteered to teach engineering to younger students at the Dripping Springs Community Library for several years.

Jad touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
