Michael King Waite

On Friday, April 3, 2020, Michael King Waite, loving husband and father retired his body in his wife’s arms as his spirit remains strong in Christ. He lived here with us for 64 years.

Michael King Waite was born August 28, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee to Warren and Judy Waite. He grew up in Houston, Texas and settled in his beloved Texas Hill Country as an adult.

Michael was a well-known, respected and successful real estate land and ranch broker for over 30 years. Michael’s passion for Texas land and water inspired his land preservation and his business called Watersong Ranches.

Michael’s love of great songwriting and music was very evident. He participated playing guitar and singing at Luckenbach ‘Pickers Circles’ and Dripping Springs ‘Open Mic’ nights. His statesmanship, love of history and patriotism is profound.

Michael was preceded in death by his younger sister, Ashley. Michael is survived by his wife, Marianna; his two daughters, Denielle and fiancé Kevin; Jessi and husband Nick, step-daughter Anastasia; his brother Warren III and wife Melanie; his father, Warren, and mother, Judy along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews, and a multitude of friends he called family.

Michael’s family service will he held on Saturday, April 11th at 2PM at the north Lamar Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Austin, Texas. Michael’s Service will be available to view ‘Live’ via live-stream.

We will let you know when Michael’s Celebration of Life will be held when the coast is clear to gather together. He and we all would love that!
