Stars come out for Twilight and Starlight
The biggest night of the year for the Dr. Pound Farmstead and Museum is the annual Twilight and Starlight celebration. This year’s celebration was held last Saturday night and the city’s stars turned out to make the event a night of fun. Local restaurants served their tasty wares on the grounds, with choices far too many to list, from appetizers to desserts, it was a feast. Beverages too were local, with spirits, brew and wine sure to put a smile on your face and warmth in your tummy.
There were also auctions, both silent and bid on the spot. It is always fun to watch the bidding go higher and higher, knowing the proceeds go to a great cause, keeping the farmstead and museum as a reminder of the early beginnings of Dripping Springs, this is so needed today as the city grows.
And what would a celebration be without music. People’s Choice provided music and the dancing commenced. It was a great time for those attending and a great way to support the heritage of the community, Dr. Pound Farmstead. CENTURY NEWS PHOTOS BY GARY ZUPANCIC
