Dripping Springs Lions Club Donates $10,000 to Patriots’ Hall

1st COVID-19 fatality in Dripping Springs; Hays County cases decrease

A Dripping Springs woman in her 80s has died from COVID-19. The Hays County Local Health Department reported the fatality, the first for Dripping Springs, on August 13. Across the county, cases are “trending lower” according to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider. As of Monday, August 17, the Hays County Local Health Department reported 39 new lab-confirmed cases since Friday’s update, meaning that is a three-day total (for August 15-17). Epidemiologist Eric Schneider also reported one new hospitalization and 42 additional recoveries.
