Womens Club scholarship deadline approaching

The Dripping Springs Women’s Club will be awarding two scholarships for female students who plan to attend college in the fall.

Both scholarships will be for $500 and are intended for “deserving applicants who attend public or private schools or are home schooled provided they live within the boundaries of the DS independent school district”

The eligibility requirements are:

•  Applicant must be a female high school student living within the boundaries of the Dripping Springs Independent School District. The scholarship award is open to home schooled students and those attending public and/or private high schools. 

•  All applicants must complete the application form. 

•  Applicants must show proof of acceptance to an accredited institution of higher education   before funds will be disbursed. 

The Dripping Springs Women’s Club Scholarship Committee will review and rank the applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors of the Dripping Springs Women’s Club. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, extracurricular activity, community participation, volunteerism, and writing ability demonstrated in the application.
