"We've got spirit, how 'bout you?"
Fresh off an extremely successful camp, the Dripping Springs High School (DSHS) cheerleaders shared that momentum with their younger counterparts Sunday as the Dripping Springs Youth Sports Association (DSYSA) and Hill Country Pop Warner cheerleaders convened for an all-day clinic.
DSHS varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association camp at The University of Texas campus in late July. The teams brought home top honors in their sideline, game day and extreme routines. Now, the team is inspiring younger cheerleaders by teaching them cheers and routines as they prepare to kickoff football season in a month.
The DSHS cheerleaders led group rotations, at Moxie Gym and Cheer, where the young cheerleaders learned jumps, cheers, sideline dances and stunts. Their season starts on September 4, and DSHS’ season begins with scrimmages next week.
