Tahuahua announces for city council

Local resident Geoffrey Tahuahua has filed to run for Dripping Springs City Council, Place 5.

“As part of one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas, it’s critical that Dripping Springs keeps our roads and government running smoothly and our small businesses thriving,” Tahuahua said. “I’m running for city council to contribute my experience working toward efficient, effective government to help our community prepare for and manage growth.”

Tahuahua currently serves as a board member of North Hays County Emergency Services District #1, and received an endorsement from former State Representative Jason Isaac. “Geoffrey’s professionalism and rich experience in local government are exactly what our community needs,” Isaac, said. “I’m proud to support Geoffrey, and Carrie and I urge our friends and neighbors in Dripping Springs to do the same.”

Place 5 is currently held by Council Member Travis Crow who is running for re-election. 

Interested city council candidates can still file for Place 1, Place 3, and Place 5 up until Friday, Feb. 15, at 5 p.m., at Dripping Springs City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, in the City Secretary’s Office.
