A Pioneer Christmas approaches in December

Pioneer Day is fast approaching at the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Enjoy your holidays the way they were meant to be celebrated – the old fashioned way! The Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead in Dripping Springs is hosting a living history holiday complete with Texas Rangers re-enactors, Native American dancing, blacksmiths, broom makers, basket weavers, leather workers and more. In addition, we will have live music, food, shopping with local artisans, free horse-drawn wagon rides, pictures with Santa by the covered wagon, holiday story readings, and beautiful make-and-take ornament crafts.  The museum will be open for tours as well. Please come out and support your local museum and enjoy a wonderful day of exploring together.

• The Place- The Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead is located off of Ranch Road 12 North, at 570 Founders Park Road.

• The Time- Saturday, December 8th from 9:00am to 3:00pm, rain or shine

• The Fare- Cost is $5.00 per person, 4 and under free - price includes wagon rides and 5 make & take historical ornaments for kids

• There will be a special appearance by Cindi Rose, famed silhouette artist.  Portrait sittings must be reserved in advance. See our website for more details.
