PEC members invited to annual meeting June 23

Pedernales Electric Cooperatives invites all members to attend its annual meeting on June 23 in Spring Branch. This year’s meeting is being held at Smithson Valley High School, located at 14001 Texas State Highway 46. At the annual meeting, PEC members in districts 1, 6 and 7 will have an opportunity to cast ballots in the 2018 PEC election if they haven’t already voted early in-person, by mail or online. All members will have the opportunity to hear reports on the cooperative’s activities and initiatives as well as hear from PEC leadership and ask questions. The day begins at 9 a.m. with on-site voting, registration for door prizes and a birthday party with cookies, music and more to celebrate PEC’s 80th anniversary. The business meeting begins at 10:30 a.m., when members will be notified of election results and have the chance to win door prizes, including a Cub Cadet zeroturn riding lawn mower, home theater package, iPad Pros and $150 bill credits. Members must be present to win prizes. A full agenda of the day includes: 9 a.m. Celebrate PEC’s 80th birthday party with cookies, music and more. 9-10:30 a.m. Member registration for door prizes, and voting for members in districts 1, 6 and 7. 9:30 a.m. Enjoy the Explore Mad Science presentation for kids. 10:30 a.m. Attend PEC’s business meeting to hear election results, a cooperative update and win door prizes. Members must register between 9-10:30 a.m. and be present to win door prizes. 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Enjoy family-friendly activities, including a scavenger hunt, face painting, balloon animals, hotdogs, popcorn and Kona ice.
