North Hays EMS breaks ground on new stations, district offices

North Hays EMS held a Ground Breaking Ceremony for multiple new buildings earlier this month, including the locations for EMS Station 72, EMS Station 73, and the district offices.

The groundbreaking took place at 31331 Ranch Road 12, the location for new EMS Station 73, on Saturday, Aug. 6. One ceremony was held for all locations due to parking concerns in the Heritage Oaks neighborhood — the new station location for EMS Station 72. North Hays EMS currently operates three ambulances in North Hays County, all very close to the US Highway 290 corridor. The construction of two new EMS stations will better distribute those ambulances in order to improve response times.

The time table for construction is approximately 14 months.

The two new station locations are 1 Heritage Oaks Drive (EMS Station 72) and 31331 Ranch Road 12 (EMS Station 73). The new district office will be collocated with Station 72.
