Hays County to host egg hunt

Hays County will hold its second annual Easter Egg Hunt this month, hosted by Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra.

The springtime event will take place at the Hays County Courthouse on Friday, April 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children will be divided into four age groups: under 5 with parents, 5–7 year olds, 8–11 year olds and over 12 years old. Each age category will have one egg with a golden ticket inside for a prize and another egg with a gift card for a local restaurant.

Four thousand eggs and approximately 40 pounds of candy will cover the courthouse lawn for the traditional easter egg hunt.

Those who arrive early can participate in arts and crafts provided by The Mermaid Society, Princess Storytime, play a lawn game or take a photo in a decorated selfie frame. There is also an opportunity to participate in a Scavenger Hunt.
