Five reach Eagle Scout designation

Five Dripping Springs Boy Scouts celebrated achieving Eagle Scout at a recent Court of Honor.

In recent months, five scouts from Troop 2001 sponsored by Sunset Canyon Baptist Church were awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the upper echelon of Scouting.

The new Eagle Scouts are Ethan Bone, Seth Grote, Luke Medina, Jake Nobles and Bry Peters. All are 2021 graduates of Dripping Springs High School.

With many hours of effort and merit badges behind them, each of these five young men tackled a unique project for his Eagle Scout project.

Ethan Bone constructed a storage building for Foster Village’s donations.

Seth Grote extended a running path for the Westlake Fire Department.

Luke Medina created time capsules for the two Sycamore Springs schools during their inaugural year.

Jake Nobles created and installed signage for the Austin Zoo.

Bry Peters created and installed a path, resting area and landscaping for PAWS Animal Shelter.

Troop 2001 is proud to celebrate these Eagle Scouts' accomplishments and appreciates these young men being role models to the other Scouts in the troop as well as beyond Scouting.

Troop 2001 wishes these latest Eagle Scouts all the best in the next phase of their lives.

Troop 2001 also wants to thank Bobbi Bone and Heath Nobles for their many years of work for the troop.
