DS Water Supply Corporation proposes rate increases
The Dripping Springs Water Supply Corporation Board of Directors has proposed changes and pricing increases to its customer “rate tariffs.”
Under the proposed changes, the current lower three customer “usage Tiers,” which scale up to 12,000 gallons per month, will remain at the current rates; while the higher usage Tiers will be expanded into additional categories and include newly proposed rate increases.
According to DSWSC, the Tiers were expanded in an effort to promote and implement conservation for members who fall within higher tiers.
The changes were first proposed by the Board in 2019, but no action has been taken despite the fact that the item has been on the agenda for several Board meetings.
The next Board meeting is scheduled for Monday Feb. 17, at 6 p.m., at the company’s main office, 101 Hays St., Ste. 416. The proposed changes will once again be on the agenda.
