Ribbon Cutting Sol’stice Gardens

The Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce held a Relocation Ribbon Cutting Celebration and Soiree at Sol’stice Gardens on November 7.  One year ago Sol’stice, the premiere garden art and sculpture destination in the Austin/Hill Country area since 2007, pulled up stakes in downtown Dripping Springs and moved four miles west to a new home at 4230 Hwy 290 W, just across the highway from Holder Lane.  The move has been an opportunity to enhance every aspect of Sol’stice, an opportunity which has come to fruition over the past year.   Sol’stice now has a greatly expanded art and gift selection in an attractive and comfortable gallery space.  The personnel of the larger, more comprehensive nursery provide information on a wide assortment of native and adapted, drought tolerant, and deer-resistant plants, and the new greenhouse offers a variety of cold-tender house and patio plants. The sculpture garden pathways feature outdoor art and yard decor by local and national artists, including creations of the Sol’stice studio.  A monumental Tuscan sculpture garden and whimsical Creek Bottom Boardwalk add to the unique, magical experience of visiting Sol’stice.  The new property also provides a great platform for Sol’stice’s landscape design and installation services and for creative art classes in our studio.

In its new home, Sol’stice Garden Expressions is more than ever a special place to visit and explore, one that should be on the agenda of anyone interested in fine art, beautiful plants, unique gift items, and the creative process.
