Dripping Springs Election Results 2020

Hays County set new voting records with 109,386 votes cast in the General Election in 2020. Hays County also proved to be rather bipartisan with Democrats and Republicans trading wins back and forth up and down the ballot.

 

More than 71% of registered voters cast a ballot in Hays County. At this point, voting totals are unofficial. Absentee ballots can still arrive at the election office on November 3 while military ballots can still arrive for a few more days.

 

In the Presidential election, Hays County residents voted 54.28% for Joe Biden and 43.47% for Donald Trump.

 

In the U.S. Representative, District 25 race, Incumbent Roger Williams received 56.95% of the vote over Julie Oliver who had 42.94% of the vote.

 

In local elections, Prop A, the Hays County Parks Bond, passed easily with 69.54% of the vote in favor.

 

In the closest countywide race, Hays County Sheriff Gary Cutler eked out a victory over challenger Alex Villalobos with 50.97% of the vote.

 

State Representative Erin Zwiener held off challenger Carrie Isaac by taking in 52.29% of the vote.

 

For DSISD school board member at large, Incumbents Barbara Stroud and Ron Jones received the majority of the vote. Stroud received 27.12% of the vote, while Jones received 26.81%. Lori Broughton received 25.43% of the vote and Stephanie Holtzendorf received 20.64% of the vote.

 

For the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District (HTGCD), Board Member District #2, James Shelton received 57.61% of the vote over Incumbent, Jeff Shaw who had 42.39% of the vote.

 

Linda Kaye Rogers was re-elected to the HTGCD, District #4, with 54.7% of the vote over Mark Key.
