Drink up: Inaugural Brewers Festival celebrates impact of craft breweries on Dripping Springs

This spring, Dripping Springs will turn its focus to one of its most prominent industries: alcohol.

Thanks to the Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau, locals and visitors alike will have multiple opportunities to familiarize themselves with the wineries, breweries and distilleries in the Dripping Springs area with the inaugural Brewers Festival and the Dripping With Taste Trail.

Dripping Springs Brewers Festival

The Dripping Springs Brewers Festival, scheduled for March 26, will run from noon until 5 p.m. and showcase some of the Hill Country’s most popular brewmasters and brews. Attendees will receive a keepsake tasting mug, as well as tickets to sample several of the area’s most popular craft beers. Additional highlights include live music from the Hill Country Ramblers and Monte Good, plus a variety of food options.

“Destination Dripping Springs wanted to highlight the importance of our local brewers and their contributions to Texas breweries,” said Pam Owens, president and CEO of Destination Dripping Springs. “They are a vital part of our local economy and make a significant impact on the growing tourism industry.”

Featured breweries include:

Acopon Brewing Company

Family Business Beer Company Suds Monkey Brewing Company

Twisted X Brewing Company

Dripping Springs Brewer’s Festival wristbands can be purchased online at destinationdrippingsprings.com/beer for $25–$35. Participants must be 21+ and provide identification at the event in order to pick up their wristbands.

The event will be held at 311 Old Fitzhugh Road in downtown Dripping Springs. Free parking is available. On-leash dogs allowed.

Dripping with Taste Trail

The Dripping with Taste Trail Passport, valid March 17 through April 17, features a wine, beer, and spirits trail, as well as a curated collection of deals and discounts. The electronic passport allows each user to visit up to four participating destinations per day, with one free tasting at each. The trail itself has over 15 participating locations in Dripping Springs and nearby Driftwood.

The Dripping with Taste Passport benefits the Dripping Springs Visitors Bureau, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes tourism and connects visitors with the local community.

Passports can be purchased online for $40 at destinationdrippingsprings.com/drippingwithtaste. There is no app to download, and passports can be saved to the home screen for easy, one-tap access.
