Annual Run by the Creek Race had large turnout

The 8th Annual Run by the Creek Race had large turnout with almost 500 runners last Sunday morning at Roger Hanks Parkway. The race is organized by the DS Running Club, a non-profit, and proceeds from the race “benefit local parks and provide funds to local organizations dedicated to promoting running and healthy lifestyles,” in the DS Community.

“We had a great race today with almost 500 runners, 80 volunteers and perfect running conditions,” race organizer Steve Mallett said. “We had runners as young as 5 and as old as 74.”

Race results:

Ted Davison won the 10 Men’s overall, Faith Cruz won the Woman’s 10K overall, Hollie Richmer won the Master Woman 10K and Josh Dever won the Master Mens.  

In the 5K it was Brant Melton winning Men’s overall and (he’s 15) and Sarah Zeh winning the Woman’s overall.  Men’s Masters was won by Javier Ortega Woman’s by Soffia Herrera.
