hree DSISD schools receive CREST Award
Three schools in Dripping Springs ISD have been announced as winners of the prestigious statewide CREST (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas) award by the Texas School Counselor Association (TSCA). Recognized schools are (with counselors’ names): Dripping Springs Elementary (Raynie McLaurin/Michelle Tasin), Rooster Springs Elementary (Kimberlee Guerrero/Karey Carroll) and Sycamore Springs Elementary (Amy Guerra/Casey Baker). For Sycamore Springs Elementary, it is the third consecutive year to receive the honor.
The CREST award recognizes effective counseling program design and implementation and emphasizes a commitment to obtaining results that boost achievement and wellness for students. Winners of this award demonstrated their ability to implement evidence based, data-driven programs modeled after state, national and legislative standards.
