DSHS graduate places at the HOSA International Leadership Conference
Recent DSHS graduate Natalie Chavez placed third in Prepared Speaking at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) International Leadership Conference. Chavez made her second straight appearance at the health science event after placing first in the Texas HOSA state competition.
HOSA's Competitive Events Program is designed to motivate students and provide a system for recognizing the competencies developed by members through Health Science and Biomedical Science class instruction, related job training, and HOSA related activities. This national program recognizes those students who are willing to pursue excellence by preparing for competition and having the determination to attend a conference and participate in a competitive event.
