March 9-20

Robot Mania: Spring Break at Science Mill

The Science Mill’s “Robot Mania Spring Break,” from March 9-20; and March 16-20, will include racing, building, and coding robots at special pop-up stations all over the museum. “Grab an iPad and head to the mBot obstacle course to race against other robot operators. Step behind the joystick to maneuver extreme K’Nex machines. Ready to build your own robot? Design and program a one-of-a-kind creation!  Robot Mania activities will take place Monday-Friday, and the museum will also be open Saturday and Sunday. City Council Meeting - Cancelled

The DS City Council meeting scheduled for Tue. March 17 has been cancelled.

Westcave Preserve Bird Walk

The Westcave Preserve will hold “Warbler Bird Walks” on March 18, 30; and April 11. “Join us for a bird walk this spring led by local avian biologists. Westcave hosts over 170 species of birds and spring migration is one of the best times to experience our avian population. From the endangered golden-cheeked warbler to the colorful painted bunting we have it all!” Duration of walk will be one to two hours. Chamber Luncheon - Cancelled

The Chamber of Commerce cancelled its monthly luncheon at The Terrace Club, on Thursday March 26, due to COVID-19 concerns.

Hill Country Living Festival & Rainwater Revival

The Hill Country Living Festival & Rainwater Revival festival will take place on Saturday April 4, form 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at DS Ranch Park Event Center, 1042 Event Center Drive. “Come celebrate the art of catching rain and living lightly, responsibly, and beautifully in the Texas Hill Country. Burke Center Mad Hatters Gala

The Burke Center for Youth will hold its “Mad Hatters Gala” on Saturday Apr. 4 at HHS, 12495 Silver Creek Road. “Journey down the rabbit hole for a night to remember with dinner, drinks, a live auction, and great entertainment.” Proceeds will be used to buy furniture for the new dormitory at the Burke Center. All Abilities Chair Exercise: Mind, Body, Soul Series

Mondays 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. 

The Dripping Springs Community Library Meeting Room.  All are invited to come play, laugh and sing as we experience the physical, social, emotional, and mental benefits of this Mind, Body, Soul Series.  Your instructor, Carla Daws, has been enthusiastically teaching exercise and yoga for more than 7 years in the Texas Hill Country.
